Tuesday, Canada went to the polls, most of us stuffed to the gills still with Thanksgiving meals, and proceeded to vote for the same danged thing we did last time. This was the third election in four years. The Conservatives were hoping for a majority government that they didn’t get, but instead got small gains in the number of seats.

I won’t say who I voted for, but Stephane Dion is not one of them. I’m all for saving the planet, but lumping me, because I’m an SUV driver with a “carbon tax” — just no. My car gets better “on the road” gas consumption than the hybrid vehicles they keep bringing out and bragging about, without stating that the MPG is from laboratory environments. The real, on the road MPG is very different.
