Writing. What do you do each day that doesn't contribute to your writing -- and can you eliminate it?

Taking care of the house - the dogs, the cats, the husband whose job allows me to write, take up a good deal of my time that I can't spend writing. I can't get away from it, and part of me doesn't want to - daily experiences are something you can write about. Everything adds more fodder for the fire.
