Before I jump into this, let me say that I have enjoyed Metallica for a number of years. I really really wanted to enjoy this new album, and provide a good, sound, hopefully non-biased review of it.

Unfortunately, I just couldn’t. The mix was horrible, the music seemed lazy and a half-assed attempt to bring back the glory days.

So, for me, I’ll pass on being critical of this, because there is no fun in tearing apart every song without some redemption.
