A Big Pet Peeve

The only big thing today I can really talk about is the level of ignorance some people have when it comes to basic online etiquette. For example – when someone says to you that you have the wrong email address, emailing them back and threatening them with bodily harm because they supposedly have your sister’s/great aunt’s/cousin Bob’s email when they’ve had that for years… is just… wow. It’s also illegal and can result in serious punishments internationally. Beyond that though, there is no need for it. A simple phone call to sister/great aunt/cousin Bob would probably reveal that you have the wrong address, missing a letter or number that alters it.

Type to others as you would have them type unto you, and the match to that Wil Wheaton’s Law – don’t be a dick!
