Grrr

Ex-squeeze me? Baking Powder?

Woah there Mr. Campbell. Just because someone either cannot or chooses not to have children, we can piss off? Some of us choose not to pass along flawed genetics, guaranteeing a child a lifetime of suffering from either mental or physical diseases. Some of us choose to live our dreams, and those dreams do not involve being a mother or father, or do not allow the time for children. Is it right just to bring a child into this world to spend so much time away from them that they know a nanny (or other caretaker) better than they know their own parents? Some of us, for assorted reasons CAN’T have children and have decided to make a life that doesn’t directly include them.  I am happily the “crazy aunt” to several children, and that makes me happy enough. I don’t need children of my own to feel fulfilled either as a woman or as a human being. Passing on my genetics isn’t a priority for me – quite frankly I’d rather that the laundry list of genetically passed issues that can happen died with me.
